My dear friend Zac sent me this via Fb. Omg, thank you sweet @zacbublitz !! Have I ever told you about my lobster issues! Lol!! I hate people that boil/cook/eat lobster and don’t you dare do it in front of me, I will slit your throat from ear to ear! Since I was young, I’ve felt this way! And I refuse to eat at restaurants that serve lobster! I didn’t eat at my birthday restaurant in Malibu because I walked in and saw a huge lobster tank and walked out!! Can you imagine being boiled alive? How can you hear that scream and not feel like a monster!! I quit a high paying job years ago because the bitch refused to not cook lobster in front of me! I’m passionate about this! Thanks for sending me this lovely photo/story, it made my day, a very long exhausting day! Thx! xx #lobster #vegan #vegetarian #poorlobster #letlive #animals #animalwelfare #sea #ocean #needmorepeoplelikethis
A Connecticut man purchased a 17-pound lobster at a Waterford restaurant, then released the crustacean back into Long Island Sound. The lobster would have to be about 80-years-old to reach his current size and he felt he deserved to live. ”It takes seven years for him to even become a lobster big enough to keep.” MacKenzie said. ”For a lobster to live this long and avoid lobster traps, nets, lobster pots… he doesn’t deserve a bib and butter.” He took the lobster back to sea Tuesday, releasing him in a secret location, where he said it would be almost impossible for fishermen to drag their nets. MacKenzie received a send-off from a group of children chanting ”Let Larry Live” and the lobster was given a salute from the Niantic River Bridge operator who sounded the lift bridge’s siren as the boat carrying him headed to sea.
It would be great if one day lobster would be omitted from the menu. Let’s hope this story has a ripple effect for the sake of other lobsters destined for the pot. ♥

♡ I’m so behind on this one, yet I knew I couldn’t miss the chance to post about Marina and the Diamonds‘ show here in Los Angeles back on July 10th. It was such a spectacular evening all around, everyone knows how much I adore Marina, this was my fourth time seeing her live! She was fantastic as per usual, the crowd ate up everything she did on stage, the energy was insane. It also happened to be the first night of her US tour, everyone was extra excited to see her sparkling back in the states. Marina played a perfect mix of songs (the setlist is posted below) from her debut album, The Family Jewels, along with her sophomore effort Electra Heart. Both are brilliant, without a doubt, Electra Heart will be my top favorite album of 2012. I also had the chance to briefly chat with Marina at the after party, she was so lovely and totally remembered me from when I interviewed her back in 2010. The video and photos below were taken by my dear friend, Raven, make sure to visit her blog, dedicated to Tori Amos, Regina Spektor and Fiona Apple, three of my faves for sure! ♡

is that true?
Melbourne’s seagulls have a habit of faking having one leg to get sympathy food. Then they strut off on both perfectly fine.
